After deciding on wanting to do my book about shutter speeds I decided to look at some photographers that related to this, the first one being Eadweard Muybridge. I decided to research about Muybridge because I knew he did work relating to shutter speeds, last year I went to the Tate gallery in London to go and see some of his work so I was already quite familier with it.
In his work you can see his use of shutter speeds and motion photography a lot because of the work he does. He was the first person to prove that when a horse runs at one point all four feet leave the ground at the same time and he proved this with his photography and photos using very fast shutter speeds of the motion of the horse.
I felt that his work linked well with mine because it shows the motion of an object moving and this is what I wanted to show within my work.

The only difference is that in his work he shows each stage of the object/subject moving whereas in my images I want to show just one image of a freezed moment of something happening while using a fast shutter speed.
