Harold Edgerton

Harold Edgerton is the main reason I chose the subject I did for this book, one of his images inspired me to do the work I want to and I really like his work, this is why I decided to research about him.

The image that inspired me was this one...

This image is showing a drop of milk dropping into a bowl of tomato soup. I really like this image and find it amazing how something like that can be captured and look so beautiful.

Another reason why I chose Harold Edgerton is because I also know that he works a lot with shutter speeds, like Eadweard Muybridge. He has created some really fascinating images that he used shutter speeds for and  there probably some of the best known of his and most famous images of a photographer from his time.

This image shows when he captured an explosion of an atomic bomb. Which shows what kind of speeds he was using with his camera.

This is also one of his best known images, showing a bullet going through an apple.
All of Edgerton's images amaze me and were the main reason why I wanted to create my book on motion photography.
